"As a new year begins and we try to benefit from a proper view of what has gone before, I plead with you not to dwell on days now gone nor to yearn vainly for yesterdays, however good those yesterdays may have been. The past is to be learned from, but not to be lived in. We look back to claim the embers from glowing experiences, but not from the ashes. " -Elder Jeffrey R. Holland
What a real challenge! How nice it is to take a stroll down memory lane, but how important it is to return to the present. Don't get lost in memory lane, we must move forward! No matter how nice days of the past may have been, while days ahead may seem so difficult, we MUST exercise all the faith we can possibly muster and continually move forward, making progress in life. Find joy in the journey!! :)
I'm not sure who it was that said it, but a great quote: "You can tell your God how great your storms are, or you can tell your storms how great your God is." He's gonna help you! He won't let you stand alone in the storm without an umbrella, so to speak. Instead of worrying and wishing for the storm to end, enjoy it! Don't just wait for the storm to pass, DANCE IN THE RAIN!! :)
